First off I have to say I didn’t get my shirts in time to print any for the show this year. I’ll have to rely on what RANAR has since I will have a Catspit screen set up on press in the RANAR booth at NBM Long Beach this week. I was going t…o have preprinted shirts to hand out but personal family issues and workloads prevented me from completing that task. So you’ll all have to settle for buttons, stickers and pens. But you could get a chance to print your own Catspit tee with me and take it home 😉 Anyway, here is another commonly asked question about screen printing tee shirts and equipment. This is another very cool educational video about screen printing tee shirts by Catspit Productions, LLC. Here I discuss and look into a very common question people ask about screenprinting especially when staring out. When working with plastisol textile inks you need to cure the ink with heat. The ink needs to reach about 330 degrees F for up to a minute depending on the printed ink volume. In this tutorial video we look at the factors that may affect your flash cure and why using it for commercial production may not be the best idea. This video should show you some of the many reasons we suggest a belt dryer for commercial production. Screen Printing T-Shirts: What is The Exposure Time For Screens?

Another very commonly asked question about screen printing answered. Well, answered as best as humanly possible. I uploaded this video early today but I was out of the office running around getting ready for my trip to the NBM show in Long …Beach this coming week. Oil changes and tire rotations along with some other errands left me behind in office work. Let’s not even mention the shop. Good thing I’m awesome at multi-tasking. Anyway if you’d like to find out why I cannot tell you how long to expose your screens for, then watch this video.

This educational video features a screenprinting question about printing tee shirts that we get asked very often. The problem with the question is there are many variables associated with exposing screens. Therefore this question is very difficult to answer definitively. If we knew all of these variables then we could suggest an exposure time. But most often when the question is asked it’s something like this, “How long do I expose my screen for?” Obviously that is not enough information to answer the question with any degree of accuracy. But why? What are these variables? What things do we need to consider when exposing screens that affects our exposure time? Screen Printing Tee Shirts: Can A Heat Gun Cure Plastisol Inks?

I was going to upload a different video today but I thought it was about time I answered a few commonly asked questions about screenprinting tee shirts with plastisol textile inks. I think I had too much fun making this one I have to admit. Even I can’t help but laugh when I say, “yes, you can, but no I don’t recommend it” or something like that. For some reason I find myself shouting and being all Billy Mays these days when I make a video. I think it’s just too much fun. I work too much and the videos are my way of connecting with you. That’s right we have a relationship you know. There’s just a camera between us… 😉

Screen Printing Shirts Without Emulsion, Chemicals or Film Positives!

Hey there! A year or 2 later I made a follow up video to the RhinoTech Dry Stencil System product review. LOL… I know it took forever to get back to this but that’s because we already have a resident expert on the product. So this is a fun video in which I print with the dry stencil system using plastisol ink. I think this stuff is pretty cool and it is a great tool for a commercial shop to do one offs. And it’s perfect for beginners who may not have anywhere to work but in their home. Check it out but don’t forget to hit Leadfoot up on the Catspit forum if you want to ask more detailed questions 😉

This is a long overdue follow up video to the RhinoTech Dry Stencil System videos. Since we are commercial screen printers here at Catspit Productions we don’t use this type of product in production and we had a forum member do an extensive thread on this product so we never got to make a video printing with the dry stencil system. Until now. In this video we take a second look at the RhinoTech dry stencil system and we then proceed to screen print with the same screen we made almost 2 years ago. That’s right, the very same screen I made in the product review video was hanging around the shop all his time since I knew I wanted to make this video with it sooner or later. Well here it is and I have to say I was impressed with the print quality and the ease of use once you get the details figured out. I can safely say with my limited experience in working with this product and the forum threads that this product is perfect for one offs in commercial shops and it’s well suited for the home printer who may not have a shop environment to work in.
