I finally got around to editing and putting together the radio recording session from the photograph I posted to Facebook last week. In this video you see the actual recording which only took 2 takes because of my cool “movie guy” voice abilities. I didn’t even lay it on here. I wanted it to sound like a professional voice over job but not too much like a movie trailer narration. It was a lot of fun to do and the following week I did a 30 minute radio spot after and during which this commercial aired. I’ll try to make a video of that too but the on air material ended up being like 20 minutes. So we shall see. In the meantime get a little amusement form watching me record my commercial and hear the finished results at the end of the video.

The video is called, “Screen Printing Radio Commercial Recording: The Catspit Session.” So this screen printing video is about how I use local radio to advertise for my screenprinting services as well as the websites tutorial information. It’s hard to do because my company is so unique that it would seem people get confused as to what I actually do. After doing the commercial session I had wished I said tee shirts instead of clothing. A slight error I think due to overthinking the text when I was writing it. I was allowed about 45 words plus my phone number and website URL in addition. This particular radio station caters to a demographic that is probably not the best for my services but it makes good internet content and shows my advertisers that I advertise my website in the real world and online. It’s important to advertise for your website or any services in the real world as well as on the internet. The more people know you and hear about you the more likely they will seek you out to do business with you. It can take up to 9 times of hearing an advertisement of your company for people to end up calling you. That’s why a storefront is vital due to the additional free exposure you get from it. So the rent could be considered part of the advertising costs…. LOL. It’s true. Screen Printing Product Review: 2 Part Emulsion Hardener Vs. 1 Part

Now this was a very challenging video to make I have to admit. I had to edit it down some and cut out some scenes I shot not knowing I would be unable to use them. 15 minutes is the maximum time I would make a video I think even though it is possible to upload longer videos. But I think 15 minutes is the best I’ll get out of most people’s attention span these days. So in this video we learn that RhinoTech has 2 emulsion hardeners and one will make a very permanent stencil while the other will increase stencil durability while still allowing for reclaiming. It was very interesting to test these 2 emulsion hardeners together and I had never used an emulsion hardener before. What we discovered about the differences in the 2 stencil hardeners you will get to see for yourself in the video.

The video is called, “Screen Printing Product Review: 2 Part Emulsion Hardener Vs. 1 Part.” This educational screen printing video is about using a stencil hardener or emulsion hardener to make your screen permanent. In some cases when printing long runs or high volume print jobs we need a very durable stencil; therefore a special chemical known as an emulsion hardener is used to create a more durable or permanent stencil. In this video we compare RhinoTech’s 2 part hardener to their 1 part hardener. In this video Jonathan makes a new screen, uses the different hardeners on either side of the screen and prints a few test prints with the screen before attempting to reclaim the hardened emulsion. In the video we get to see each of the hardeners as Jonathan reclaims the screen. It would seem the 1 part hardener makes a more durable stencil but is still reclaimable. As for the 2 part hardener, well that one looks a lot more permanent as you will see for yourself in this screenprinting video.

Screen Printing Tee Shirts: Long Sleeve Print Tips

So as you all may know I have been so very busy in the shop lately doing some print work to make up for some lost advertising revenue online. Amazingly enough it seems the rebuild of my website is taking effect and I am getting more calls for not only screen printing but for supplies as well. This is great news as it means the website is doing its job and that should help me to help you more. This past weekend I had to print a simple 1 color job for my friend Gary at Gary’s Automotive in Chandler, Arizona. He does all my auto repairs honestly and fairly. So when he asked me to do some sleeve printing I couldn’t say no. But there are a few things you need to consider before accepting long sleeve printing jobs. This new educational screenprinting video shares my tips and advice using Gary’s job as an example. If you’re thinking about printing long sleeves especially with text then you must watch this video.

The video is called, “Screen Printing Tee Shirts: Long Sleeve Print Tips.” This tutorial screen printing video is about screen printing long sleeve tee shirts. In this educational video we take a look at what it takes to print text up and down either left or right sleeves. It’s important to consider a few factors such as that when screenprinting long sleeve T shirts. I will show you a job I printed that had text down both long sleeves. The text reads right rather than being vertical so you have to consider how you print each sleeve so that it does indeed read right. It’s the zombie effect as both arms are spread straight out forward of the walking dead. We’ll each sleeve would have the text read from left to right. It’s a fun video in which you get to see the results of an actual print job while seeing the set up as well. Silkscreen printing long sleeves can be trick but with a little thought you can do it.

Thanks a lot for all your support online! I appreciate your time and attention very much. Learn how to screen print and save on supplies with Catspit Productions, LLC!

Screen Printing Product Review: Eco Haze Remover Vs. Standard Stain Cleaner

RhinoTech and I thought it would be fun to compare their regular, standard chemical line haze remover to their Green line of environmental and user safe stain remover. Many people think that ecofriendly products don’t work as well as the normal chemicals we are all used to. While there are differences between the 2 products, it certainly does not affect the end result. The HRG 2400 ecofriendly haze remover is thinner and much more user friendly but it requires a longer sitting time. The HR 2800 is thicker and somewhat more aggressive making it less user friendly as well as faster acting. Neither of the 2 haze removers had much of an odor but if it has to be said then the HR 2800 would probably be slightly more odorous. Videos like this are not easy to make but this one went very well witch made it fun to make and the results of the comparison were very cool.

This tutorial screen printing video is a product review about RhinoTech’s haze removers for screen printing mesh after reclaiming. It’s called, “Screen Printing Product Review: Eco Haze Remover Vs. Standard Stain Cleaner.” This is a very cool comparison of an environmentally user safe stain remover with a standard equivalent chemical. How does regular haze remover from RhinoTech hold up against the RhinoClean Green line of stain remover? In this video you will see a side by side comparison as we clean an intentionally stained screen. We use black ink and left it on the screen for about a week in very hot temperatures. It was stroked a few times as well to make sure the black ink penetrated both sides nicely. Then we cleaned the excess ink off with a citrus based RhinoClean Green ink wash and tried HRG 2400 right alongside HR 2800. With he later being the standard chemical you’ll get to see them washed out together. The point of the video is to demonstrate that the environmental product works just as well as standard chemicals and you have a choice in the products you use from RhinoTech.
