Here’s your holiday bonus video about how to screen print sweat pants or other leggings. After you watch this video you’ll be ready to print any pant leg or legging. This is a complimentary video to our long sleeve shirt screenprinting video as well so you can watch both and get a great rundown on printing down sleeves and pant legs. Plus sweat pants make a great holiday gift with your business artwork printed down the leg. Oh yeah baby! You’re going to love this video but remember to use web tack with fleece. I was so preoccupied with the printing of the leg itself I grabbed spray tack in the video and used it… LOL. Get a few laughs and learn how to screen print!

In this educational screenprinting tutorial video we discuss how to set up and print down the leg of sweat pants or other legging and pants. Screen Printing Tee Shirts: How To Tag Print Inside The Collar

Okay so it’s good news Thursday evidently. I have a brand new screen printing video for you today all about printing tags inside the collar. I’m not really sure why people seem to have problems with this so I hope my tips will help out…. LOL. Meaning you shouldn’t really have trouble with the ink pushing through to the front side of the shirt unless you’re using too much pressure to print and/or the shirt is very thin. I mean very thin inks can be an issue but you should be able to pull off a tag print with the help of this video.

In this educational screenprinting tutorial video we discuss how to set up and print tags inside the back of the collar on tee shirts. This video has been requested many times in the past so we’re finally getting down to business. You’ll learn about artwork, inks and two different set ups to print tag prints whether they are for branding or marketing purposes. Follow along as i show you how to use a pocket pallet and a sleeve pallet to do tag printing. Learn about “light weight” artwork and how to keep the thinner inks from printing through to the finished side of the shirt. You’ll also learn how to send the shirts through the dryer so the tag print may be cured properly. This video is complete with tips on flashing the tag print for safety in handling and how to deal with the garment label while printing and curing. if you have ever wondered how to print a tag inside the back of the collar of a tee shirt then this video is a must see.

Screenprinting Tee Shirts: How Do I Set My Infrared Belt Dryer?

Here’s a quick tips video about screenprinting tee shirts. In this short educational video we briefly discuss how to set your belt dryer and why I cannot give you specific settings to use for this. I get asked almost every week how do I set up my belt dryer? What temperature should I use? What belt speed should I use? And so on…. So in this video I do my best to explain a little bit about this and give you some tips that I can. My answer to the question; how do I set up my infrared belt dryer? The quasi answer is in this video so be sure to check it out. You tell me if the video is any good… LOL.

In this educational screenprinting tutorial video we discuss how to set you’re infrared belt dryer for plastisol inks specifically. You’ll hear a few tips and suggestions along with my thoughts on how I would set up my conveyor dryer initially and adjust it accordingly to the print job I am working on. There’s really nothing technical about it but with experience and some pointers from good old Catspit you’ll eventually get the hang of operating your belt dryer because in the end you don’t just set it and forget it. You have to adapt and keep checking on the dryer with each print job you do. Enjoy another fun and exciting time with me as I try to explain this to you as if you were in the shop with me taking a class. Well, this would be the very brief version of that anyway 😉

In this educational screenprinting tutorial video we discuss what a post exposure or post cure is and why we might do it. Many of you may have heard this terminology before but never really had a reason to understand it. But in our world of under exposed stencils and automatic press printing learning how to do a post exposure can be a good idea. Find out in this video what a post cure is and which emulsions are responsive to post exposures. Follow along as I walk you through the explanation and show you a quick demonstration of what it is like to post expose. Learn about the two most common reasons to do a post exposure. Make sure you watch this video if you’re just starting out in screenprinting because this little tidbit of knowledge can be very useful in your printing career. Meet Senior Catspit: John Monaco The Real Screenprinting Legend

This is a very special video in which you get to meet a very special person. Meet my Dad who has been an integral part of building Catspit over the years. Without his help I would never have gotten this far. In this too brief of a video you get to meet him as I ask a few silly questions about screen printing in general. I finally get to say thanks in a Catspit video for YouTube. John Monaco Senior was a legend before I was born and has been in this industry for so many years I can barely count. He worked with Saati and Majestic/MajesTech in the hay day of screen printing. He turned many screen printing brand names into common Monaco household terminology. I even recall he had the duct tape of all duct tapes when I was a young boy. Of course he did, it was a screenprinting product and it blows away duct tape but looks a lot like it. It was with his brother that I screen printed my first tee shirts at 11 years old in the basement of our home. And by the way I like camo pattern underwear and I have to wear a boys large for the best fit…. oh dang it wait a minute. This is what I was talking about in the video. TMI…. LOL. You’ll have to watch the video to get that joke 😉

Wicked Paranormal Activity in Arizona Rental Home Caught On Video!

Check out this paranormal activity in a rental house in Arizona. This is a video of a person taking a walk through of a rental home in Apache Junction, AZ. The video was able to capture some very strange electromagnetic energy which disturbed the camera recording in at least two places. In the video you see this strange ghostly activity that seems to haunt and chase this man out of the house only to attack him outside as he was trying to escape. This is the most unbelievable paranormal video footage caught on video. This home is still empty to this day and no one will rent or buy it. Walking Dead Zombie Chase Video: Behind The Brain Eating Scenes

This is the behind the scenes production video for our 2013 zombie chase video short. It’s funny because this is longer than the 2 shorts we produced combined. The video is a year old as we made it for release last year but I did not release it since it had so much footage inside my home. This is the first time you actually get to see that the shop is in my garage. I never shot the garage door before this and this and the dining room area with he books is now all screen printing equipment and supplies. But I figured since we will be in a storefront soon what the hey? I can let the Cat out of the bag. So follow along as we take a look at how this complex yet short horror video was made. How To Screen Print: Converting Full Color Vector Art To Halftones

Alright so this is a late upload because I got a hot lead on a decent storefront space to rent. I was busy trying to fill out applications and get information about the space so we could see it immediately and perhaps put an offer in. I’ll find out tomorrow morning 😉 In the meantime we have another educational screenprinting video as promised. This is about a quick and easy way to convert full color vector art into halftones so you can screen print the design as a 1 color with gradients. You can do this with any color vector art and it’s actually a very simple process. You will need vector software and RIP software however to make it easy. I have 2 requested videos on deck for filming so please stay tuned…

I had to do a rush order print job for an old customer of mine last week. I don’t print commercially anymore since I am a supplier for the industry but now and then a customer from the past calls me and needs a fix. I can’t say nor although I do let them know I am no longer printing commercially. So I had to convert a 3 color spot color print into a 1 color halftone for some royal blue sleeved baseball jerseys. This video shows you a very quick way to convert full color vector graphics into a grayscale so you can very easily print out halftone film positives. This is a brief summary and only brushes on the surface of this method as I’m sure there are many ways of doing it. But this one should be relatively painless and easy to do. Much easier than Photoshop in my opinion. Follow along as we convert spot colors into halftones for screenprinting tee shirts.
