The last of the weekly videos up to December 20th was uploaded to YouTube today. That was over 1 month of weekly videos uploaded on Mondays. Just as I promised, I came through. It was a lot of fun to upload a video each week but it was also a lot of work.

This weeks’ video is a promotional video for the website. I know a lot of you know about it and use it regularly but there is a whole entire group in our audience that seems to be unaware of the website. Therefore, I am always trying to make people aware of the great screen printing information available on the website.

The video is called, “Learn How To Screenprint T Shirts Online”. The video is a basic introduction to the contents of the website. It’s hard to believe that the website started with about 5 pages and has grown into the 80 page plus website it is today. And it keeps growing as I find more information about screen printing. What? Make your screen without film you say? Yes, it’s called direct to screen or computer to screen. This is a process by which the image that would normally be printed as a film positive is printed directly onto the emulsion coated screen. That’s right. Instead of printing inkjet film or laser vellum, we can just print the design right on the emulsion coated screen. Of course this unit is designed for a high volume screen printing shop which would be making a lot of screens on a daily basis.

This is a really cool machine that prints onto the screen. The video is called, “How To Screenprint: Make Screens Without Film”. In the video the manufacturer demonstrates how the machine works by printing a dummy screen. You will actually get to see the entire process in a new video about the same process with Saati. In that video we will not only print the screen but we will expose it and wash it out. Make sure to stay tuned in the coming New Year for that great video. It should be in high quality or maybe even genuine HD if I get that all figured out by then.

Just as I have promised. I have uploaded another new screen printing video to YouTube today. I have promised another 2 videos on Mondays for the next 2 weeks. That will bring us up to December 20th. Then in January I have a special new video to share with you all. It’s a special type of video and I hope it represents a new era of video making for Catspit Productions. I wish to bring you better screenprinting videos with higher production value. And at the same time I promise to keep the same old Catspit style of video making…. to an extent.

This new video is called, “How To Screen Print: Cleaning The Pallet”. In this quick tip video I demonstrate how I clean my pallets and what options you have for multiple pallets. You get to see that a simple task like maintaining the pallet surface can be time consuming and expensive if you don’t watch what you are doing. I think the video makes it obvious why people use pallet tape for bigger machines with multiple pallets.

I hope you are all excited for the New Year. I can’t wait to make all new screenprinting videos with the new HD camera and wide format video. Maybe I’ll get all of the video editing software worked out and I’ll be able to bring you some high quality videos. I wish you all the best as we approach this holiday season.

Yet another brand new screen printing video has been uploaded to YouTube. This is a fun video which covers the split fountain. It is sometimes referred to as a splatter print or a blend. This is when we put 2 different colors of ink onto 1 screen at the same time. Then we flood and stroke the print as usual. The inks blend and create a 2 color print.

The video is called, “How To Screen Print: 2 Colors On 1 Screen”. It’s an easy way to spice up a simple 1 color print without much effort. You can have a lot of fun with this creative technique. It opens up endless possibilities, but remember, the design choice will determine the level of effectiveness.
