Here’s another screen printing video from the January ISS show in Long Beach 2018. Here we take a quick look at Saati’s new concept for a washout bench. This is a similar product to a traditional washout booth but instead of having a sink or basin it has a reclined flat work bench. The water drains down into a crevasse between the bench and the back wall. The entire unit is tilted back at a severe angle to make the water go back into the booth since the bench is flat with no wall to keep water from going directly onto the floor. There is still a decent amount of splash back and water that will get onto the floor as with any washout booth being used with a pressure washer. But this washout bench is a very interesting idea since I have seen many screen printing shops with stainless steel ink tables where ink is mixed and screens are cleaned. This combines that with a washout booth. It’s a very interesting concept.
