Here’s another piece of art created by Amal Muhammad on Instagram. He wanted to create a piece of art for us to screen print in an upcoming video. So here it is. This is a very cool gradient image done like a stippling drawing. This is very similar to a halftone in rendering detail on screen. As you can see there are many ways you can render a gradient without using “dot” or RIP software. Hand drawn line art can be an awesome source of art for screen printing tee shirts and posters. Today I’m trying to shoot a video for upload this week and I’m looking at burning the screens for the upcoming 3 color halftone video. I have the screens ready but I’ve been pretty busy in the storefront the past few weeks which is good 😉 But I’m anxious to play with that halftone print and have some fun.
