Another long awaited educational video about screen printing tee shirts has been uploaded to YouTube. This is a cool video because I get to show you all a 1 color print on an M&R Diamondback press. This is a 7 color automatic textile screenprinting press. It has 7 heads with one head occupied by an infrared flash cure unit. The flash cure is not mounted into the head at the moment so you could feasibly print 7 colors wet. Who want really wants to do that though…. LOL.

The new video is called, “How To Screen Print: 1 Color On Automatic Press”. In the video I set up a simple 1 color design with black ink to print on a white test shirt. You get to see the press, the set up at the print head and the printing movements of the print head. It is a very brief summary and I hope to get back to this press later to do a video about the press and its functions. This video doesn’t get to explain all of the detail in the set up of the print head for an actual job. But that is for another time.

So if you are interested in screen printing tee shirts for fun or for profit, this would be a great video for you to watch. You’ll get a good idea of what it might be like to work with an automatic screenprinting press. One thing is for certain. Automatic screen printing is much different than manual printing. And it’s a lot easier on your shoulders or wrists.
